The FINE/TUNE by Uniform Journal — weekly snippets from the fashion news, product drops and trends that matter to me (and hopefully you too). What I'm tuned into this week is below.
STUSSY X OUR LEGACY
Stussy and Our Legacy Work Shop are back together for another collaboration and this one looks like it’s going to be a special one. I’ve always enjoyed the union of these two brands, but this one looks like they kicked it up a notch. There’s a mix of essentials with the addition of some experimental pieces, such as leather hoodie and upcycled Harris Tweed. I’m feeling the reversible shearling a lot! The collection drops this Friday at Stussy and Dover Street Market.
NEW BALANCE X BRICKS & WOOD
BRICKS & WOODS is back again with another New Balance collaboration and to say they are finding their groove would be an understatement. The NB 9060 is one of those new silhouettes that didn’t hit at first, but they’re starting to grow on me, especially with this collaboration. The collection drops in Paris on the 19th and later in the month in the US.
SHIRT NYC
“IN A DREAM YOU SAW A WAY TO SURVIVE AND YOU WERE FULL OF JOY”, reads a Jenny Holzer quote, printed on these vintage cotton tees from Shirt’s latest series. These dropped just before the start of 2023, but there are still a few remaining. If you’re a fan of Jenny Holzer and recycled/upcycled tees, this might be for you.
OBJCT
Victor Roman is releasing a small batch of hand drawn crewnecks this week. His description sums it up perfectly — “I’ve always been infatuated with OBJCTs showing the human hand, each piece was drawn using Japanese archival inks over Oatmeal Champion Reverse Weave Crewnecks and will never be replicated or screened on other garments. OBJCTS will be available to purchase on January 20th.”
