Next to fashion, music has been the other constant throughout my life. Everything is connected and the sounds keep me inspired through it all. So it’s only right that I start to incorporate it into Uniform Journal.
Not sure of the frequency, but UNIFORM SOUNDS™️ is playlist featuring a selection of soundscapes for all atmospheres. Do something (or nothing) and just let it play.

Being from Detroit music has always been engrained in me, from attending music school at 9 to djing through high school and college to visiting Motown Museum as often as I could. While in high school, I assisted in designing and managing Waajeed’s Bling47 website with my bro RK, while also digitizing J.Dilla’s entire discography as a project with Kelly Fresh for Renaissance Soul.
I sat as Recording Club President in college and studied audio engineering & production under Grammy nominated Jay Henry (Prince, Living Colour, LL Cool J, Heavy-D, Teddy Riley, Shannon, Bell Biv Devoe, and Public Enemy).
This was the chapter that led me to my journey into production and engineering. One day, I might talk about the studio I helped build from the ground up in Mexico — but around this same time I interned for Z90.3 FM in San Diego with one of the best in the biz Justin Credible. There were plenty of other musical milestones after San Diego, but I wanted to stop here and just say that my music ties run deep. You can still catch me buying physical copies of albums or reserving my Thursday nights to listen to new releases and I wanted to start sharing some of the favorites (past & present).
